編織陶瓶 Pottery Bottle With Wicker Weaving

自古以來，人們常以植物纖維編織包覆陶器，不僅增添握持與實用功能，也為器物披上獨特的紋理與溫度。此次，由陶藝家黃郁婷手工製作的圓潤陶瓶，形態靈感取自古老器物，如同一輪靜謐的明月；外層再由 Candyce Shih Chieh Wang 以玉米殼編織包覆，讓古老的手工智慧在當代語境中重生。它既可安放於空間成為純粹的擺件，也能化為瓶器插花，將自然與時間的故事延伸於日常風景。

曾任職服裝倫敦品牌織品設計師，近期轉型個人創作，以天然纖維編織搭配複合媒材為創作基底，除了挑戰天然材質差異的拼接組合，也希望能就地取材多加利用回收材質永續環境。

Since ancient times, people have wrapped pottery with woven plant fibers—not only to enhance its function and grip but also to give the vessel a unique texture and warmth. This handcrafted rounded bottle by ceramic artist Huang Yu Ting draws inspiration from antique forms, resembling a tranquil full moon. Its surface is further adorned with corn husk weaving by Candyce Shih Chieh Wang, reviving the wisdom of ancient craftsmanship in a contemporary context. It may stand alone as a sculptural object within the home or serve as a vessel for flowers, extending the story of nature and time into everyday scenery.

Huang Yu Ting
The artist draws inspiration from nature and antiquities, studying traditional forms and techniques to transform them into vessels suited for contemporary life. She often paints natural symbols onto the pieces, infusing a sense of liveliness into objects with an ancient charm. Through a careful balance of texture and proportion, the artist creates works that are rustic yet rich with stories.

Candyce Shih Chieh Wang
Candyce specializes in handcrafted mixed-media works, with a focus on natural fibers, knotting, crochet, and embroidery. She previously worked as a textile designer for a fashion brand in London, and has recently shifted to independent practice. Her creations are grounded in weaving with natural fibers combined with mixed media, exploring the contrasts and possibilities of different materials. At the same time, she seeks to source locally and make greater use of recycled materials, reflecting her commitment to sustainability and the environment.
